For real-time insights into your energy consumption and grid feed-in, you can connect the HomeWizard P1 Meter (sold separately, approx. €30). The SigenMate 2700 Ultra also works without a P1 meter. Sigenergy’s own P1 meter will launch in Q4.
With traditional microinverters, any excess solar energy may be wasted when there is no load consuming it. SigenMate 2700 Ultra connects the battery on the DC side, so even when there is no load on the AC side, surplus PV energy can first be stored in the battery and then accurately released when there is demand later. This significantly improves solar energy utilization and helps reduce dependence on expensive grid electricity, directly supporting electricity cost savings.
Yes. Even without solar power, SigenMate can still help optimize electricity costs through time-of-use energy management. In areas with dynamic electricity tariffs or peak/off-peak price differences, SigenMate can charge the battery from the grid during low-price periods. During high-price periods, it can then prioritize using the lower-cost energy stored in the battery, enabling “buy low, use high” electricity cost optimization.
To use this function, enable TOU Mode or AI Mode in the app. The system will automatically track electricity price trends and perform precise scheduling to help reduce your electricity bill.
After AI Mode is enabled, the system runs in maximum self-consumption mode for the first 7 days to record and learn the user’s household energy consumption patterns. After that, it combines actual home consumption data, PV generation forecasts, weather data, and dynamic electricity tariffs to automatically create and optimize charging and discharging strategies.
This enables “buy low, sell high” energy optimization while reducing electricity costs and maximizing solar self-consumption. The system updates its optimization strategy every 60 minutes and executes energy storage operations every 15 minutes, ensuring that it continuously adapts to the latest energy conditions.
Yes. You can connect your existing inverter to SigenMate, provided that it is a plug-in device.
Yes, SigenMate supports microinverter connection. Due to regulatory limitations, it is recommended to connect only one microinverter, and its power should not exceed the legal limit for plug-in devices, for example 800 W.
The microinverter can be connected to any AC socket. Both Sigenergy’s own microinverters and third-party microinverters are supported.
The maximum PV charging power depends on the number of battery packs connected:
The power limit depends on whether the system is operating in grid-connected mode or off-grid backup mode.
Whether the device can be installed by the user depends on local laws and regulations. SigenMate 2700 Ultra is a plug-and-play product. In countries where such devices are allowed to be connected to the grid, such as Germany, you may complete the physical installation and power-on process yourself.
However, grid regulations vary by country. Before purchasing or installing the device, please check the specific regulations in your country or contact our local service team.
Yes. SigenMate has an IP66 protection rating and can withstand normal rain exposure.
Once the off-grid backup function is activated, the device will automatically switch during a power outage and continue supplying power to the loads connected to the two backup ports. No additional operation is required, and the connected loads will remain running.
This depends on whether you have installed a smart meter and which operating mode you have selected in the mySigen App. Based on your settings, the system will intelligently decide whether to prioritize storing excess energy or exporting it to the grid.
Yes. When used together with a smart meter, you can set the grid export power to 0 in the mySigen App. The device will then prevent any electricity from being exported to the grid.
1. • Environmental factors: The estimates above are based on standardized meteorological data and ideal installation conditions, particularly a south-facing orientation without shading. Actual electricity generation and savings may vary depending on your location, seasonal weather variations, and individual electricity consumption patterns.
• Electricity price fluctuations: The calculation is based on an assumed reference electricity price of €0.40/kWh. Actual savings may vary if local electricity tariffs change or dynamic electricity pricing applies.
• Device compatibility: Some AI-powered functions, such as surplus forecasting or intelligent load scheduling, require specific mobile operating systems. Certain functions may have limited availability on some devices.
• Non-binding estimate: This calculation is provided for reference purposes only and does not constitute a legally binding guarantee of future energy yields or savings.
• Guidance on compliance with Germany’s current simplified grid connection rules:
Power limit: To qualify for simplified grid connection without complex approval procedures, the inverter’s grid output must be strictly limited to 800 W.
Installed PV capacity: Although the system supports up to 4 kWp of PV input to improve performance in low-light conditions, local regulations may limit the total installed PV capacity eligible for simplified procedures, currently often to around 2,000 W. Exceeding this limit may require full registration as a conventional PV installation.
2. The estimated payback period of 3 years is calculated using a reference configuration consisting of 1 × SigenMate 2700 Ultra main unit, 5 × SigenMate BAT 2700 expansion batteries, and 8 × 500 W solar panels, based on the street price excluding VAT.
This estimate is based on the maximum annual savings scenario described in Disclaimer 1 and is provided for reference purposes only. The actual payback period may vary depending on the final configuration purchased, actual purchase price, applicable VAT, installation or accessory costs, your household electricity consumption, solar yield, electricity tariffs, local subsidies, system usage, and regional conditions.
The estimated payback period does not constitute a guarantee of actual savings, return on investment, or financial outcomes. Actual results may differ from the simulation.
3. The availability and compatibility of VPP functions may vary depending on the country, region, energy program, energy supplier, and third-party platform. Please contact Sigenergy customer support to confirm interface compatibility, activation requirements, and service availability for your specific location and system configuration. Participation in VPP programs and any potential additional benefits or earnings are not guaranteed and may vary depending on local market conditions and program terms.
4. The IP66 rating means that the device is dust-tight and protected against powerful water jets. However, it is not suitable for underwater operation. For outdoor use, installation must always follow the user manual. Pay particular attention to adequate ventilation, suitable weather protection, and an elevated mounting position. Avoid prolonged contact with standing water, continuous exposure to heavy rain, and use in extreme marine or highly corrosive environments. Additional protective measures may be required in such environments.
5. We strongly recommend engaging a qualified electrician to inspect the dedicated circuit, assess the installation conditions, and professionally install a Wieland socket. This helps ensure that the installation meets the applicable technical requirements. In Germany, grid-connected systems with a feed-in power exceeding 800 W must be registered in the Federal Network Agency’s Market Master Data Register. Registration can be completed online and generally takes only a few minutes. Sigenergy accepts no responsibility for delays or issues related to registration.
6. For additional active overload protection at higher power levels, we recommend using the SigenMate Sensor. When the system approaches a potential overload threshold, the SigenMate Sensor can help regulate power output in real time, helping to protect the circuit and connected devices.
7. For safe operation in compliance with applicable standards, we expressly recommend having a qualified electrician inspect or carry out the installation and any required registration, and using the system together with the SigenMate Sensor. Sigenergy accepts no liability for damage or operational issues resulting from outdated wiring, shared circuits, improper installation, failure to register, or use that does not comply with applicable regulations.
8. It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that the installation and operation of the system comply with the applicable local regulations for grid-connected systems. Balcony PV systems with battery storage may be subject to different requirements regarding power limits, registration obligations, and installation standards depending on the country, region, or grid operator. Please check the applicable local requirements before installation.
